fun with acrostic (for Fr. Red)

At ibahagi ang biyaya at pagmamahal na kaloob Niya;
Datapwa't kami'y mga tupang ligaw,
Relihiyosong buhay ang iyong ipinatanaw;

Dakila at wasto, tama at totoo,

This is for the priest who have touched our lives and made us realize our purpose in life. The acrostic might not have said it all... well, it doesn't say much of what is really in our hearts. It is our way of saying we are truly grateful for Father Red. He made people come back to their senses, realize mistakes, and know how great the love of God is. He is an instrument God used to restore people's wavering faith, strengthening it. He taught us about 'compassion'. It is more than just feeling it. It's doing it. And 'consistency' of our faith. It isn't enough that we praise God now and do some other things later. It is acknowledging God's presence in our lives every breathing moment.

Today, he is on his way back to the Philippines. And the pain is almost unbearable. Father Red has left a mark in our hearts, that is why this whole thing is tearing us apart. But we know, this is for a purpose. I trust in God's wonderful ways. God sometimes uses the greatest pain for the greater good.

I'm hoping that he will be back in Oslo soon. And may the pain that he felt from people who disliked him be washed away by the great majority that loves him. And may God answer the question he had been asking, "Why do bad things happen to good people?"

May God be with us all. May we continue to be aware of the good people He sends to our lives. May we be able to accept our mistakes and repent for all the wrong things we have done.

 It is very seldom that we meet people that has the ability to speak for the truth and rebuke us for doing wrong. There are very few of righteous people these days... I am glad for having known one-- Padre Redentor Molina.
